Youth Work Experience

The Summer Youth Work Experience Program is an opportunity for youth ages 18 – 24 who are interested in learning new skills and working temporary positions in the healthcare industry in Genesee County. 

The Future is Bright

Getting ready for work, college, and life can be a challenge, but getting help should be simple. The FHEO Program is here to help young adults make a career plan, set goals, develop their skill set, and gain work experience to prepare for the future.

What Does the Program Offer?

  • Career Exploration: Discover new career possibilities in the healthcare industry
  • Develop Employability Skills: Gain the soft skills required for employment
  • Build Professional Experience: Improve your work readiness skills through summer jobs 
  • Earn Money: Get paid to participate!

Who is Eligible?

  • Young adults age 18 – 24
  • Must be a resident of Genesee, Shiawassee or Thumb counties
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
